Hip revision surgery is a procedure performed to exchange an artificial hip joint that has been damaged over time due to an infection, or due to normal wear and tear of the prosthesis. During hip revision, the surgeon will remove the previous prosthesis and put in a new one so that the hip can function normally again.
Knee Revision
Knee revision surgery is a procedure in which the surgeon will remove a previously implanted artificial knee prosthesis. Once the prosthesis is removed the surgeon will replace it with a new artificial joint. Knee revision surgery may also involve the use of bone grafts. The bone graft may be the bone taken from another site in the patient's own body or the bone tissue may come from another donor.
